Boccia News from the Czech Republic

Well Brock and the rest of team Canada are back from their travels and despite a 3 hour wait in the forest while their bus got fixed, they had a great time. Back from Venezuela

Wow what a trip. I tried to post a blog when I was there but it didn't happen. We had sun, sun and more sun. It is only 10 degrees north of the equator so very hot but beautiful. We went on a Jeep Safari through the desert which was a hoot and also went on a Catamaran that stopped in the middle of the ocean for us to go for a swim then to a cool beach. Their money was hard to get used to 2400 Bolivares for $1.oo so when you went to buy a T-shirt it could cost you 40,000 Bolivares. The prices are really cheap though and the price of gas was only 3 cents a litre.......really cheap. We were in a smaller hotel that was in the middle of nowhere but there was a little town just a short walk away. Lots of street vendors there making things like paintings, stone carvings and jewelry. Guess you are all suitably jealous now. Hope you are all well. Have a great March Break and see you on the 19th.

Under 20 Sledge Hockey Team

Several of our players had the opportunity to tryout for the Under 20 Team last Saturday in Burlington. There were 22 players there with 8 spots and a goalie position up for grabs. Isaiah made it as the goalie. Other players from the Blazers who made the team are Anthony, Michael and Karl. Congratulations to all of you who tried out. Everyone did an awesome job and no one looked like they did not belong nor did anyone look superior. I'm just glad I did not have to pick the team cause I'm sure it wasn't easy.
Way to go and Good Luck at the World Cup in April

Unfortunately someone stole his Gold Medal when he was doing a public appearance yesterday. Wow some people. I hope he gets it back.
